Combining boar and nylon bristles, the ICON 27-HAIRBRUSH pairs long nylon bristles with shorter, premium boar bristles.
Our premium bristles come from the stronger, more substantial part of the boar hair — black in color, and generally more durable than the lighter, brownish tips found in many lower-cost brushes.
The longer nylon bristles hold, secure, and detangle hair, while the shorter boar bristles smooth and polish the hair shaft, distributing natural oils and your favorite styling products throughout.
A WALK IN THE CLOUDS
Features a curvaceous, air-filled, flexible rubber cushion base that comforts the scalp and protects against hair breakage.
This cushion base is securely affixed into a solid one-piece polymer handle.
LARGER THAN LIFE
The ICON 27-HAIRBRUSH has a large oval brush head. Its wider surface accommodates more hair, saving time when prepping and styling.

A DEEPER DIVE
The ICON 27-HAIRBRUSH's bristles are firm yet flexible, built to penetrate thicker hair.
We chose not to use ball-shaped rubber tips on the nylon bristles, since they can interfere with smoothing and finishing — an important feature for hairdressers creating a sleek, polished style.
Most people enjoy how the nylon bristles massage and stimulate the scalp; however, brush gently when working directly on the scalp, especially with clients who have sensitive skin.
Some boar-and-nylon brushes use ball-tipped nylon bristles, which are gentler on sensitive scalps — we chose not to, for the smoothing and finishing reasons described above. If you have a sensitive scalp, a brush with ball-tipped bristles may be a better fit.
OUR VISION
Whether at a salon, photoshoot, or runway show, hairdressers rely on different brushes for different outcomes. A boar-and-nylon flat brush is essential to any hairstylist's toolkit — but finding one at true professional quality can be difficult.
Many professional-grade boar-and-nylon brushes run several hundred dollars, a cost that puts them out of reach for many stylists — and an expensive brush lost or damaged only adds to the frustration.
The alternative, a drugstore version, is often poorly made, with bristles that fall out quickly.
